Tl;dr — i’m qualified to kick your bum && qualified to make you laugh and quite possibly, enjoy working out.
I started off as a vollyball/soccer gal in high school but soon got bullied because, idk, something was off. (Hello being a queer kid in a very ‘straight’ ENVIRONMENT iykyk). But then she found theater. I dove right into dancing and singing and yoga, of all things.
FAST FORWARD to the end of my BFA in Theatre Arts & I decide it’s time to move to LA. Cut my teeth learning how to produce so I can come back to chicago and start my own theatre company. Boy did life have other plans. I ended up producing in LA and gained a bunch of weight working 12-15 hour days. It was a slog and i started to not recognize myself. Driving, sitting, sleep, repeat.
Luckily & unluckily, the pandemic hit. I was one of those who jumped into home workouts just to do something. It was like movement was hidden from my view and i just couldn‘T see it….until i finally EXPERIENCED it again. And once the movement bug hit me again, all bets were off. I started my own personal training & nutrition company while i traveled full-time in a truck camper in 2021.
As luck would have it, Equinox recruited me to come work for them in chicago. From there, I learned a ton more & decided it was time again to re-start my own biz (after a quick lil divorce & major life adjustments), I was ready.
The work didn’t happen overnight and there were a few months there I thought about just packing up and move back in my parents basement and give up — but alas, we persisted. The casual millennial freak out moment.
Now, im here to freaking show you that we can have some wild EXPERIENCES in life & life can really kick you when you’re down…
But movement, movement is at the core of it all.
Get moving. Keep moving. Stay moving.
Whatever that may look like for you ;)
